Fall Photos

So we all know how behind I am on this here blog but I still wanted to share these photos of some of our fall festivities.

We went to a friend of Cameron's mom that does the whole she-bang. Tractor rides to a quaint pumpkin patch, massive amounts of soups and chili, and a pumpkin carving contest.

Remy struggled to find a "little pumpkin" and settled for two gords because they were small. Everything in her world needs to be small. The smaller chocolate milk, the smaller piece of cake-it doesn't matter what it is, she likes it small and will fight for it, and it's always a win win for raygan who picked out a perfectly plump pumpkin.

It was a fun outing and I just love fall activities in all shapes and forms oh and a decent family photo doing so-now that's just the icing on top.

My love for Fall

I never truly appreciated fall until recently, I thought I was a summer gal but boy was I wrong, every year my appreciation for this beloved season grows and traditions as well.
My top ten things I love about fall.

1. first and foremost, the clothing. Layers and scarfs and boots, I can't get enough.

2. The crispness in the air, I love the chilly mornings.

3. The calmness it brings, and the schedules created, no matter how much I dislike my house at the moment, it's good to be home.

4. Darkness, I know I'll be hating this when springs creeping, but for now, my littles sleep better and it's just what I'm needing.

5. Pumpkin- need I say more?

6. The color-all of it, the leaves, the sky, it always takes me by surprise and it's just plane pretty.

7. Starbucks with my man. Ya see, he hates coffee so he pretty much bitches every time he sees an empty cup in my car because it's a waste of money, but when the fall comes, he sets that all aside and joins me in the Starbucks escapade ordering hot chocolate.

8. The fact that holidays are right around the corner.

9. Family. The closeness, the get togethers.

10. And this year, fall means another sweet little girl will be joining our family, and that in itself is more than great.

Craving

I'm longing for pumpkin smells and leaves on the ground. I can't wait to wear boots and scarfs and over sized sweaters. I love the coziness of fall and winter and the stillness that happens except for us it won't. Wedding.baby.holidays. remember?

I can't begin to tell you how over summer I am. I realize more and more every year that goes by that summer is no longer my favorite of seasons. I live in the oddest part of Washington state. This three city dessert is filled with round abouts, strip malls, and tumbleweeds. It's not green and lush  like the majority of Washington and our summers are flipping hot. This week it won't get below 97, and like I said I just can't wait till fall.

As over it as I am, I'm still going to make the most of it, try and cross more off our family bucket list and have a bad ass summer. My girls deserve these memories and I'm happy to oblige. I know the remaining weeks of summer are going to speed by and I'm totally counting it "fall" the week after our wedding. I told Cameron to be prepared for pumpkin spice candles and yummy fall goodies, because it will be happening.

What are you craving?

Fridays Letters

Dear Thursday: We kicked your ass thank you very much! We covered  a TON of ground! After dropping our comforter off at the dry cleaners and a trip to the grocery store our day consisted painting, deep cleaning my couch pinterest style, and finishing a Halloween wreath, Ohhhh and making some baby headbands for a friends baby shower this weekend. Let's continue this today!

Dear Weekend: You consist of two baby showers. Woah. .

Dear Bedtime: We screwed up Wednesday night but perhaps that made us even more happy when the girls fell asleep at 7 last night, back on track!

Dear NFL: OK, so I'm so annoyed with you money hungry animals. You cost my team a game that they deserved. That's not OK. It's terrible you let it get so far, thank you for making a deal with the referees now.

Dear Spetember: Only two days left and Hellloooo October. I can not freaking wait!

Wordless Wednesday!

Warning: NOT SO WORDLESS
Sometimes I let them leave the house like this. Non matching click clack shoes and all.
They were workin' it and this mama was proud.

My mom and dad have a pretty cool garden full of grapes, strawberries, all kids of gourdes and pumpkins, and it was so fun starting off our fall with a mini pumpkin patch!
October is probably our busiest month, we have so many traditions going! And if you have been reading this blog for awhile, I LOVE me some traditions.
We go to 2, (well counting my parents little patch 3)
different pumpkin patches one with friends and one with my entire family.
We have a pumpkin carving party night that is 3 years strong with my best friend and her family.
And many more activities squeezed in between especially with the littles getting older! They make everything so so much more fun.
Me and some girlfriends have thrown around some ideas this year, like a craft day, and a pumpkin switch day where we all bake something that consists of pumpkin and do some switcheroos.
Similar to a cookie swap.
I'm looking forward to all of these festivities and as of now, we will be one busy familia!

Ready October here we come.

What kind of tradtions do you do with family, and friends throughout October?
