Battle Picking

After nearly four years of being a mom (gasp!) I've learned to pick my battles. I just don't see the point in arguing with two very opinionated, and extremely fashion forward little minds.

They've argued with me about sleeping with their shoes on, in which I just take them off when they are sleeping so what's the big deal? It's been awhile since they tried to leave in a princess ensemble but they tried to last night on our way out the door for dinner, Cameron apparently has learned the same thing as I have and responded with 'sure why not.'

I rolled my eyes and got their shoes on, who really cares. We sure didn't, and we made two little girls very happy, and I'm pretty sure that's why they behaved so well, because you can't act naughty in a princess dress silly!

Mostly the girls got a nice response, many people stopped to tell them how pretty they looked and the both said thank you accordingly. However we also got a couple who the hell lets their kid go to dinner like that, and I'm proudly saying that we did, they are only little once and if they want to wear a Disney gown they will rock it.-just like they did!

  1. I feel the exact same way!!! Sometimes Kollyns picks out a tutu to go to the park and I think it's awesome that she already has a little mind of her own! And your girls look absolutely adorable in their costumes! ;)

  2. This makes me so happy, your daughters look so cute you made their night so who cares what that couple thought!

  3. LOL! You definitely have to learn to pick your battles. It's a mom thing! I think your girls look precious. Any time Mason wants to leave the house in a cape, or silly hat, or glasses or whatever I embrace it! They're not little forever!

  4. hmmm I am a bit cared of Mya getting older...hahaha but wearing a princess dress everyday? Sure why not!!!?? How fun! hahaha

  5. You are definitely the type of mama I will be! They're young, they deserve to have fun! :)

  6. This is seriously precious! If I ever see little girls out in princess dresses you better believe I'd make them feel special :)

I love your sweet words!
