DVD storage

Dvds.
It's an ongoing mess in this household and its been driving me insane for quite sometime.

During the madness
3 full bags of cases GONE!

I hate grabbing a case and open it expecting strawberry shortcake but inside is Dora. -Insert toddler fit here-

I've had this idea in the back of my mind for quite sometime but I didn't know if I could commit to getting rid of every single case we own.

But holy moly am I glad I went through with it. It gave us much more storage to use for better items and a better color coded effective way of storing them. I cut down files to size for the tabs for categories such as girls movies, adult movies, and blue ray etc.  And used Washi Tape to make it fun of course.
The polka dot bin & the colored DVD cases were purchased at Target.

Yes, Cameron thought I was insane for throwing all the cases away, and for going all 'color coded' on him.

Let Them Be Little

I've heard this a million times but only recently did I truly comprehend it and fully digest it.

I get it. Let them be little. Let them believe in Santa clause and the tooth fairy, let them forever celebrate the little things, and be congratulated on achievements. Let them pretend to be princesses and sing twinkle twinkle little star as we cruise the isle of target (that ones my favorite) let me dance with them and snuggle them to sleep.

I hope they never loose their confidence and their hunger for life. I hope they always follow their dreams and believe in the good in people. I hope they dance forever and ever.
I hope to let them be little-that is our ultimate goal.

**All these spectacular bubbles are thanks to the "full house" craze that has entered my house. More on that later.

Im the Kinda Girl

I'm the kinda girl who makes up words to songs when I'm not sure what the real ones really are.

....that likes to be busy, and when I'm not I find a way to make myself.

.....that's obsessed with diet Pepsi I can't stop, as much as I say I want to try. I just don't.

...that hates things on the counters.

...that lives in flats and you'll never catch me in heels. Not even on my wedding day.

....that loves to be a "wife" and even more so a mama.

....that holds things in and is a people pleaser.

....that loves all things decorating/holidays/parties.

...that has anxiety and worries sun up to sun down.

...that loves to meet and be around people but is completely socially awkward.

....that is so ready for spring.

...that tries to make every day special.

...that loves to read and can get completely consumed in a good book.

....that likes all things cheesey-not cheese, more like corny.

Its Ok!

It's okay that I've been walking around for days with one eyebrow tweezers whereas the other one just...umm well, is not.

It's okay that i never buy the same toothpaste because I can never tell the difference.

It's okay that I've already bought raygans birthday outfit-which is in August.

It's okay that my child fell asleep at 5, therefore we'll be up all damn night.

It's okay that I am no longer buying diapers;) GO REMY GO!

It's that both my girls screamed their little brains off during their dentist appointment but hey no cavities! At least that's out of the way for 6 months.

Im thrifty! Im thrifty!

I'm thrifty!!! I'm thrifty!
(I feel as thought Im jumping up in down in a corner of a crowded room full of all you cool thrifty bloggers)

I haven't done a goodwill trip in awhile and it was due time. I never ever find anything that great. It's always like oh hey theirs last years Cherokee brand skirt from target in (insert either raygan/remy here) I suppose I'll snag it. The best I've came across Is eat ikea wine holders-that I've yet to put up.

Today I stumbled upon this gem. I'm pretty excited about it. It's a lot brighter than most of the stuff in our living room- but I may have found it a cozy spot in our bedroom, one step closer to making it happy and cozy and also adding to my little section of the room for jewelry and what nots-and now a cozy chair.

I also grabbed this- Ive been looking for something equivalent to this forever! I've wanted my cookbooks to be out, despite my battle with clutter and stuff on counter tops. I've omitted almost everything so I'm excited this will be a focal point. And about cookbooks....who uses them these days with Pinterest or anything online for that matter. Well after a couple Pinterest fails and a couple cookbook home runs (according to the Mr.) I'm bringing them back people! Ill use them more if they're in sight! -No I'm not completely giving up on pinterest just exploring my options.

Happy Tuesday ladies!

Our Valentines

We aren't normally valentines day people, honestly-fun fact:our first valentines day he didn't do anything. No card, no flowers no nothing. That was the only year, I think he heard enough from his mom and sister to screw up again. Every valentines day afterward he always managed to come up with something. Even if I caught him writing in my card in the driveway (seriously! Another fun fact)

I suppose over the years he's finally got it down, or possibly my love for all things holidays is finally rubbing off on him...I'll go with both. We had originally planned to cook at home and do our own little hurrah after he got out of school. He arrived home with flowers for all his girls and both our littles received a very anticipated teddy hear from their daddy and he told me had reservations for us before class and the girls were going to papas house. I loved that. He called, he arranged a baby sitter and he drove. All I had to do was get dressed and kiss to very extremely unhappy kids as we walked out the door.

As for the girls: they woke up to holiday goodies and may have had one piece of chocolate before their breakfast. They had hot dogs in the shape of hearts for lunch and drank out of valentines day cups with pink straws of course. After our snazzy date I took the girls for a doughnut and after we had a candle lit bath while Cameron was in school. The loved that.

I Love Love.

Valentines is close to one of my favorite holidays.
-I say that with every holiday-
I love love. Who doesnt?
So this year both of my sweets are in ballet so I was super excited to put these together for all of their ballerina friends.
Im pretty positive all their friends are going to get plenty of candy so I was trying to avoid that filling the bags with Strawberry shredded cereal, checks cereal, marshmallows and chocolate chips.

Im pleased with how they turned out and Im excited for my sweets to hand them out to their friends.

You can find the FREE printable here for the valentines.

What Happens When....

You go to the grocery store and not just one, but both of your littles pass out on you. Full on pass out.

Ill fill you in on what happens in case you've never experienced this. You walk awkwardly throughout the isles because your trying not to break your oldest neck, and your youngest head is resting on your hand so it's not against the hard cold shopping cart. You stack items carefully around your oldest because  and double your list because its actually quiet enough for you to think and have the patients to walk every isle. Every single person either comments about the strange occurrence and if its not a comment its a look. Ya know a look like "you poor mom" or if it was a mom they were thinking score! Because we all know its easier shopping with a sleeping child then it is with a wide awake crazy child like mine tend to be whilst grocery shopping.

This was quite strange because these two rarely nap-and if they do its a long night for mama. But thankfully they both woke up while I was putting their tired little butts in their car seats and it wasn't long enough to effect their bedtime. Phew.

Fridays Letters

Dear girls: The father daughter ball is tonight and I can't wait to see you in your beautiful dresses. (Raygan-this is year 4 and remy-year 2)I'm so excited to be carrying on the tradition with you both, honestly it's one of the main reasons why I wanted a little girl because this little "ball" as we call it has made such an impact on my life and I hope it does yours as well. Yesterday we gathered tites and dress shoes and purchased a new shirt for daddy and in the midst of it you both expressed how excited you are to dance with daddy. That's enough to make a mama melt, and what's even better is I get to witness it because your mama still goes with your papa, year 17.

Dear Cameron: I'm so proud of you and how hard your working at your school all the while keeping this family afloat. Your an inspiration to me and I strive to have your motivation. I'm looking forward to see you with your babies tonight dancing the night away to Justin bieber and the other freshes beats.

Dear brother: umm I miss you? I need you around-you keep me from going insane while you drive me insane. It's true however that works.

Dear Bestie: oh the glorious lives we lead. I wonder how many target employees comment to each other on why we even attempt to leave the house with screaming babies and children climbing out of carts. Just a thought?

We Saw Sunshine

I could've said the word park in a whole different language and these two would've been ready within seconds.
I bribed them with putting their toys away and girlfriends cleaned up faster then ever. We haven't made it to the park as much as we would like lately but I'm sorry I'm not a crazy mama out there in 30 degree weather bundled up or not....just not my thing!
I dont have to do anything assisting these days. Although I still don't sit down and watch.

 Her favorite way to swing.
 Pure happiness.
Nothing is better then a kid swinging. Obviously you cant hear them but they screamed happily back and forth to each other for ever, I swear my entire neighborhood could hear them.
Yay for happiness!
After we were done hitting the swings Raygan wanted an adventure. So mama did of course. we snuck off to a a little pathed area smack dab in the middle of our neighborhood. I love this little spot and its honestly one of my favorites.

I love this bridge and of course they refuse to turn around for a photo op!
 Little sister snagged some souvenirs.
And Raygan did her job by escorting us through the " spooky forest"
We saw sunshine and we went for it.

Blogger Book Swap

I'm so glad I got partnered up with this fabulous lady! We love the same books and she's probably the sweetest chick ever. I always always enjoy meeting people through swaps! She works at ol' miss in Mississippi and I have to admit I'm pretty jealous of her job. I hope you all stop by her blog and read all of her amazing posts and follow her along in her Mississippi madness :)

About the swap. She picked one of my all time favorite authors particularly because most of her books are taken place in Puget Sound area, which so happens to be my favorite place on earth and the area that means most to me. I've already started reading my book and I knew I'd be hooked fast!
Thanks again! Im so excited about this book!

The Freakin Weekend

Our weekend started on Thursday and we kicked it off with drinks and some BBQ. Cameron left class a little early to meet us and our friends at the restaurant for a friends birthday dinner.

Friday I got my hair done and Saturday morning my parents picked up the girls for a sleepover at nana and papas. As soon as they left with the girls we zipped downtown for some cake tasting and consultation. As fun as it was to taste different kinds of cake I knew we'd end up with our regular. Chocolate and raspberry filling, and we did. But it was fun and honestly I like to think that wedding planning is more fun when you have kids because it gives you an excuse for little dates and alone time!

Fast forward a couple hours and a good friend of mine picked me up to get our make up done! I rocked some studz on my shirt and some black skinnies with motorcycle boots. We met two of our other mama friends their and then headed out for another birthday dinner. Finally! We've been saying for over a year that us 4 couples need to go out and mission accomplished. We went to a Benihana type place and had a friggin blast to say the absolute least! Sauki bombs up the ying yang and Afterward me and Cameron found ourselves a cozy loud bar and continued on with the fun!

I had to get up fairly early (blast!) and pick up the kiddos and come home and prep for a Super Bowl party. Dumb dumb dumb. I managed to clean the hell out of here with zero minutes to spare before our friends arrived. Kids played loud, and us ladies literally hovered over the food. I swear I didn't get out of the kitchen.
We ended our weekend watching How to loose a guy in 10 days,  while receiving a nice foot rub and passing out incredibly early, -totally my kind of night! We are obviously not used to nights out on the town!
