Party Planning: Ballerina Party

My girl will be 3 in less then 3 months. What!? Where has all of this time gone? so cliche. But seriously. It's the craziest thing to watch your little one grow and progress into a little person. I don't know how any one would want to skip out on that opportunity.

Anywho, Ill save the mushy stuff for her birth day. In the mean time its party planning time. Something I love and thrive on. I stay up late to finish project and decorate pretty cookies. I become like a crazy person and start assigning jobs to people like my mom & dad, and brother and of course my hubbs.

My girl wants a ballerina party. She's been saying it for months and I thought it would change a million times by now, but nope her decision is still going strong.

So bring on the pink, and the tutus! We are having it at a park right up the street from our house because our back yard is not up to par for guests. (thank you landlord for not wanting to fix our sprinklers or put in any grass) Its a cute little park with tons of shade for little babies and a nice area of toys. We go there almost daily so Raygan will be excited its at the her park.

yes, and yes. I will most definitely have tables set for pretty little girls, and I'm loving, or should I say obsessed with the silhouette. Except white.

So far I know I want pink & white, with polka dots and stripes. I want it very girl because Raygan is at the girliest stage ever. Literally I have to convince her to wear jeans. She is the complete opposite as I was as a little girl. I love it. That's what having a little girl is all about.

Being a Mama

My girls, I love both of them with my whole heart. Sometimes so much it hurts.

Before I was a mama, I would see kid throw fits in public and immediately think that their parents were "obviously doing something wrong" now I know that's not always the case. I thought that my niece didn't eat because they didn't cook for her or expose her to the right foods, and now I know that sometimes a toddler just wont eat.

Before I was a mama I swore I would never do things that I now have been guilty of doing. There were times where I would get Raygan a bag of Cheetos {cringe} just to sit her little but in the grocery cart without screaming to get out the entire time. We have now moved on to those little applesauce bags.(thank you inventor because my child will not eat applesauce unless its in a bag...texture issue)

There have been times where my old self would have lost my cool, but they mama in me has mastered the art of patients. I never knew how much work it would be to get a single child dressed. Literally just getting dressed. Wouldn't we all love to run around naked and care free?

I never thought I would be the crazy mama that would have to tell the grandparents "no fast food, not ever, not just this one time, literally never" over and over.

I never knew that I could know a little body so well. I know what they are going to do before they do it. Mama knows best. {humming  Tangled Mama knows best listen to your mum-si}

Im cherishing the memories we have dancing to The Fresh Beat Bands Rockstar Jacket, because I know its not going to last very long, as well as watching Raygan pour out her emotion in their song A Friend Like You. {seriously I need to put a video on here for you guys, she could be an actress}

There are frustrating moments like when Raygan will.not.get.out. of her high heel play shoes to go to the park after insisting that she could get hurt with them on, or even worse get bark in her shoe (that just tickles her fancy) or like when Remy is screaming at the bathroom door to take a bath right in the middle of something, just mentioning the word bath girlfriend stripes her clothes no matter where shes at.

The constant clink clink clink of the girls high heels on the hardwood is now a normal noise in our house along with the the girls own little language.

These girls have my whole heart, they have taught me to be a better person and live life to the fullest, while enjoying the little things in life that I forget are even there.

Mini Bucket List

I have been working on a large Bucket List for the summer. I wanted to make it to 50 things. Its tough guys, especially when you know that a lot of your summer is going to be softball tournaments now! Not to mention we don't even know his schedule yet! If I haven't mentioned it before I'm a list and schedule person. A complete freak actually. You have no idea how bad its eating away at me.

So being inspired byKelle Hampton I started a mini bucket list. I always always have a giant to do list in my notebook that I don't rip out until everything is scratched off. Actually I have two. For obviously different categories.

This mini bucket list is stuff that I want to accomplish within a week. One week! Its not my usual list of boring things like paying the bills or my cleaning list.

My Mini Bucket List:
-Send my sister a nice little "pick me up card"
-make a bunch of love notes for my hubbs and place them in fun places
-let Raygan do my makeup
-go for ice cream
-Paint my nails a new color
-Paint Raygans play mailbox
-Find lamps for our bedroom
-do a least two photo shop tutorials
-get a new book. ( want to read a series any suggestions?)
-wear earrings.

Haha some of you looking at my list must think I'm an extremely boring person if I have those little things like hmm wear earrings. But hey I'm trying :)

He Made It!

We had such a fun weekend around here! My hubbs had a try out with a mens softball team, needless to say he made it! He rocked their worlds actually. I was so very proud of him! Coming from a softball back round myself I'm so excited for this summer..which now means tons and tons of softball tournaments and wait for it.....a trip to FLORIDA in September. Umm thank you husband for making the team! Word on the street is they are the best team around here, they won state last year.

He is the youngest on the team, and I think the only one with kids. yay. I totally thought there would be more mamas so that was a tad of a downfall. But this is our new "family" now so its going to be fun!

After his tournament this weekend (they came in first) they announced to us he had to be initiated, my first thought was you've got to be kidding me, we are not in high school. Then I realized these are a bunch of twenty something dudes...duh. So we (and when I say we I ment the hubbs) begged his dad to watch the girls because he didnt want to go alone. Initiation ended up being a nasty shot of fireball dropped in keystone. Keystone...Seriously? We haven't drank anything but Corona up in here for years. Well he did it and now we can say that is done.
What have we got ourselves into? My husbands not the worlds biggest partier so we shall see. But I know he loves ball and this is going to be a very fun eventful summer!

Sunday, oh Sunday was just like it was supposed to be. Lazy. Burger take out. And a rock and mineral show. Raygan enjoyed the mineral show literally pointing out every single pink rock in her sight.

That about sums up our weekend, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend as well :)

Little Bits of Happiness

Another week of linking up with  Mrs Stephanie T for Little Bits of Happiness. This week has been  somewhat hectic with the hubbs starting his new job. Which means starting new routines and much more of me entertaining the girls alone because he isn't home as much. This is going to be a big change for the girls, but it's a good thing...I just know it!

I've kind of been in la la land, I totally spaced swimming lessons the other day and just went along with our day and realized "umm we had lessons like 4 hours ago." I felt terrible because that's the highlight of Raygans day, but life shall go on.

Our Tahoe was in the shop getting fixed for 2 weeks. Two freaking weeks. The same time the hubbs started his new job, leaving me and the girls to take him to work at 6:30 in the morning...yes that's early, but that also equals early bedtime:) Perhaps we will turn into early birds over here. Ordering wrong parts, and a huge mess with the billing makes me one unhappy mama.

Anyway, I've been wanting this eyeshadow for sometime now. I heard that the color pallet was easy for the make up challenged. (yeah thats me, right here) I don't buy very many beauty products in general so I was a little apprehensive at the price. But so so worth it. Oh and what a fun name right?

My First Birchbox

So this was my first Birchbox. I've joined the birchbox bandwagon. After so much waiting, waiting and more waiting I finally got it!

Yay for me! It was like getting a gift in the mail....and I love mail! (I mean, who doesnt!)

But then after I ripped that baby open I was slightly dissapointed! I feel like the previous months (that I've seen on some ladies blogs) were so much better then mine! Sorry friends... blue liquid eyeliner is just not me. But Ill take it, and hopefully next month will behold a much better surpirse!

7 Questions

I found a neat blog  and I decided to do the link up because I thought it sounded like fun, and we all need a little fun huh? I'm just a sucker for questionnaires!
1. Are you a thirft shopper?
umm Im trying to be, If only I lived in a place with much better thrifty places!
2. If you just had a very bad dream, what do you do?
If it's really really bad, Ill wake up the mister but it seems like those only come when Im pregnant, otherwise I just stir in bed!
3. What is your favorite flavor ice cream?
I love baskin robins baseball nut! It should be there now :)
4. What do you do with your money? (spend it, save it, invest it, bury it etc.)
Well lets see, with my money I get from the restaurant (witch will be coming to an end soon!) I spend it. I spend it faster then I make it! But as for our money as a family my hubbs is a penny pincher to the fullest, he saves saves saves and also has invested some aswell.
5. What was the last quote or statement you heard that really hit you?
"The days are long but the years are short." That couldn't be more true as Im still coming to terms with the fact that I will have a three year old living in my house in less than 3 months. yikes. We need to make the most of the years that we have with them!

6. What do you do when you're driving alone? (ex: dance, sing, listen to talk radio, etc)
Sing! I love to sing, and Im terrible at it! Im finally at the point where I don't even care haha, I just like to have fun!

7. Did you watch the premier of Bachelorette? If so, who was your favorite bachelor?
nope, its not a show Im very into! I prefer the other reality shows!

Mamas Day Recap

My lovely hubbs isn't the best "holiday guy," he doesn't plan ahead, and certainly will never write in a card beforehand. Hes been guilty of filling it out in our driveway. In fact one holiday, it may have even been last mothers day I caught him. I saw him drive up to our house (we see everyone... we live in a cult a sac) I waited a couple minutes and then realised what the heck is he doing? So I totally walked out there to see if he needed assistance with anything and what do you know....he was filling out the card. On his behalf it was a beautifully written card that I still have tucked away in a special spot. But like I said, he lives his life sper the moment and wouldn't know what he was going to be doing the next day if it wasn't for me.

But one things for sure, I get flowers and a day of love from him and my girls. He tells me I'm a great mama and I'm the reason he gets up every morning. We had two great days in a row. One with my side of the family and one with his.

(My neice Lilly)

Some cousin love
We drank cocktails and nice cold beer, and hung out in the backyard like good ol' American families do. It was my best mothers day so far. We BBQ'd and the girls played in the water. It was a fabulous day indeed. I hope all of you mamas got the lovin' you deserve!

Flashback Friday

Hallelujah! I'm one happy lady over here today! My computer is finally fixed, just a little love from the hubbs dad and step mom. We are computer illiterate to say the least.

So I decided to Link Up with a flashback Friday post to get back in the swing of things.

Where did this little booger go? Ahh...let me tell you, I'm missing the baby stage, can you say baby fever? Watch out hubbs :)

I hope you all have a Fabulous Weekend.
