Bathtub Paint

The girls got so much damn bathtub paint for Christmas I don't know how the heck we ran out! We established a routine of painting in the bath every night. When the last of our paint bottles ran out I panicked. I was running through ideas in my head when I remembered (in elementary school) cleaning off our tables with shaving cream.....I decided to give it a go and  I put all the shaving cream in the muffin pans and I just added food coloring to each one.
Its a lot easier to use for little kids then half of the painting sets we got. Some I had to help them squeeze the paint out because it was to hard for their little hands. But this was simple, and easy and they painted away.

It was fun and simple. Also it didn't stain our bath walls like a couple of the sets did. I will be doing this a lot in the future!

Dance baby dance!

Or not. Raygan had her big dance performance today! She was so excited, her hair was up tight in a bun, she had her berry lip gloss on and slept in her tutu the night before last because she was so excited, I had to hide it last night to keep the sucker clean. All she has been saying in the last 3 days was "mama and daddy watch me dance" and then would end it with a whipping ballerina twirl.

Her waiting with the other dancers.

Her and her cousin
All grandparents were there and she waited patiently in the back (umm hello? why do they make the 2 year old class the 6th class to perform?)
Then there she goes, the second they line up to go on stage, she flips! Clings to me crying for me. I tried to talk her into it and she didn't care, she was over it before it started. My shy sweet little girl. I got the worst pictures of her standing (she did eventually get off the teachers hip I swear) to "no more monkeys jumping on the bed" and "head, shoulders, knees, and toes" She stood there scoping the crowd at the entire time and didn't know one more to her dance. But hey, she did it and it was my girls first time.

Anywho, on to a little craft the girls did yesterday for Valentines day presents to grandparents and Daddy.

I let the girls paint them and put the stickers on the hearts and I just covered them with mod podge. That was the first painting project that Remy didn't try to eat the paint or the paint off her hand either! (Go girlfriend!)

My dads birthday is tomorrow so tonight Cameron and I are going out for a couple drinks with them! Yay! Have a great weekend!

Our Favorites

We've been really into books lately. We always read books, but I mean we've been really reading books. Like all day long. And right now Raygans thing is Pinkalicious. Which is fitting because shes a real life pinkalicious herself. I may have mentioned before that shes a tiny bit obsessed with the color pink. It doesn't matter what it is, she wants the pink one, from suckers to clothes her response is "I want the pink one mom" Sometimes with a hint of attitude and that reminds me how fast this little girl is growing up. She likes all the books in the series and knows most of the books by heart. I also love these books, they are fun to read and full of imagination.
We have a complete different version but I couldn't find a picture of it. I honestly credit this thing for Raygan knowing all of her shapes. We've had so much fun drawing shapes and having her tell us which shape is which.  And she traces our drawing of the shapes (or whatever it is for that mater) She loves this thing and me and daddy cant get enough of it either.

Raygan got one of these bad boys for Christmas and both girls are obsessed. (I really need to put a video of them on here) Both of their favorite song right now is Selena Gomez Love Song Baby. We put that thing on repeat and they both go at it. We all know every single word.To be honest its been so much fun, we always listen to music in our house and we always have our little dance parties so this was the perfect gift for this family. Raygan gets way to into it as a 2 year old, I'm wondering if I need to find some Disney audition somewhere....just kidding. She sings with so much emotion and facial expressions I die! She sometimes gets embarrassed and tells me and Cameron to "go away"

Dress up. I coulnt wait for the day we started to play dress up. Oh my gosh its so much fun! Raygan loves her heels and has for a very long time now. She wakes up in the morning and the first words out of her mouth are "where are my heels mama" I dont know where she gets it, cause Im definetly not a heels girl. She walks in steletos better then I do and she always wants dresses or jeans. I try and tell her lets be comfy today and wear sweats (girlfriend has some killer sweat outfits!) and I still cant get her out of her dang dress or jeans.

Happy Day!

Wrapping paper art

One of my promises this year was to spend more time with friends. You better believe its happening. We had good friends over for dinner last night, and despite Cameron's hesitation it was amazing! When I told him our friends were coming over he said he was "to tired tonight." pshhh to bad babe! Just so happens my good friend is a chef. We {she!} whipped up fried chicken, green beans with bacon, and Au gratin potatoes. scrumptious!  We had a good time, and let the kiddos play! Then we topped it off with some blizzards from DQ.  When they left Cameron even confessed he had a good time too.

We've been trapped inside the house lately due to the crappy weather. So this morning I woke up drank my coffee, and told the girlies we were going on a Target run. Its like Disneyland to Raygan, shes loves target. So she was already getting her boots on. I was set on finding the girls the girls the remaining of their outfits for their pictures this weekend! {so excited!} and I scored on a new bag that was on clearance and some cute Valentines day wrapping paper that matched Raygans room colors perfectly!

So I decided to make some art out of it....aka frame it!

So there we have it! Something new for her bookshelf!

Have a great Tuesday!

Just Another Day in Paridise

Yesterday morning started unlike any other morning. Raygan came into our room and said "Olivia mamaaaa"  (which means I'm still tired in Raygans head)  I didn't even know what time it was until I got downstairs...looked at the clock, greatttt 5:30. ugh. So I turned on Olivia and cuddled with her on the couch. She fell back to sleep around 7, just in time for sister to wake up. Remy and I started our morning routine just to leave Raygan sleeping on the couch. {shes been sick the last couple days so I figured she needed her sleep}

About an hour later Cameron came downstairs and went to our lower level of the house and said "why does it smell like that!" I of course had no idea because I rarely go down there except to do laundry. So we searched the premises and came up with nothing!

About an hour after that I went to switch the laundry and hmm that's odd our clothes are still soaking wet!!! We have a very old washing machine so I turned it on spin one more time because eh maybe It was stuck! and sure thing 10 minutes later the sucker was smoking and our house smelt like burnt something!
So we unplugged our rusty washing machine and are set out to look for another one. And in the meantime I have to do laundry at my MILs house. omfg....Cameron just doesn't understand how freaking inconvenient that is!!! The girls change their clothes at least 2 times through out the day. Rems feeding herself now so shes bound to get dirty, and Raygan, shes just a girl. She thinks shes 18 I swear.

On top of our shitty morning Remy was super clingy to me all day, she split her gums open a couple days ago so shes been rough!! Ive had a couple Valentines day projects that I had started {and reallllly wanted to finish} and that obviously was put to the bottom of the list. and our tree....yeah I said it our damn Christmas tree is up!! I havent found time when the girls are asleep! Because there is no possible way I could do it when they are awake! I was busy with birthday stuff and now the girls are sick, sleep schedules are screwed up and Ive been staying up late just to finish the dishes and clean up the house. I'm exhausted.

I got Raygan to sleep at 8 {yess back on schedule} yup, she woke up at 830 moaning and then Remy started on a rampage and was hysterical, I got up to walk her around and then BAM! she threw up everywhere....Raygan gets her booty off the couch and shes the throw up....and gags. I couldn't believe that my 2 year old gaged at the site of it...then turned around walked from our kitchen...to the carpet and threw up everywhere. DISASTOR. Both girls crying for mama, Cameron doing what he could. Washed Raygan up, helped me out of my puked on clothes and continued to get Raygan back asleep. Needless to say, both girls were up to about 11, I wouldn't know because I feel asleep with them.

Hopefully today is a little better of a day!
Happy saturday to you!

Flashback Friday!

This is my first flashback Friday and I thought these would be appropriate because of all the snow the pacific northwest has accumulated! This was last year and Raygans first time in the snow! She loved it, bundled up and matching hats with daddy! This year she didn't love the snow as much because she "got to wet" But her fave hat from last year still fits her, shes wearing them in our snow pictures this year. If only her hat wasn't on so it would show how bald the poor kid was!!

Happy Weekend!

Worldess Wednesday: No pictures please

When I said "Hey Ray smile for mama" She politely said. "No pictures please mama, I'm to tired"
So this is what I get.
Its snowing buckets here in the pacific Northwest, tomorrow we shall play in the snow! and hopefully get some sweet pictures.

Remys 1st Birthday Party..Pictures Galore

I'm sitting here on the computer eating a delicious chimichanga from our favorite Mexican restaurant here in town while my house is a disaster, we brought the presents in from the car and sat them smack dab in the middle of the living room. The kids are asleep and for once in weeks I do not have something that needs to be done or made right away, besides the messy house. I'm exhausted. And although I can think of a million things to do right now I couldn't be happier then sitting on my butt and putting up some pictures of Remy's birthday party. The Mr. ordered me some food and set off for a buddies to watch the Packers. I cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes before he left so he wouldn't think I was completely lost!

So lets take a look at Remy's Party, shall we?

It was held at my mother in laws house!

Made by the lovely sister in law.

Treat mail boxes for the kids.

Happy Birthday Baby!

Girlfriend did work on that cake. She was loving every second of it! And she loved everyone watching her!
She was so exhausted and didn't take a nap all day, I didn't think she was going to last through the party but sister was a trooper and didn't even make one fuss the whole time! Ive never seen a baby so happy at their birthday, it seems like they are always grumpy. The party went well and it was a lot more stress free than I anticipated.

I cant believe shes already one, I mean I'm freaking out. It kills me how much these two are growing and although I love being in front row for this show I hate how fast its going. Every day both of them do something that just blows my mind. I've cried at least once every day since Remy's actual birthday. I'm such a loser.  My girls are growing, I gotta get with it.
